The school was first named Tandang Sora Elementary School-Annex in 1958 which was located at 10th Street corner 11th Avenue in a rented house owned by Cortez Family. It had only two (2) rooms with two (2) teachers and four (4) classrooms, Mr. Julio Pangilinan was the first school head.

In early 60's, the school got its full independence from being an annex and renamed as Eulogio Rodriguez Elementary School because of its location, which was the heart of Barrio Rodriguez, when Caloocan still under the province of Rizal. In early 70's, classrooms were added having additional eight (8) classes and principal then was Ms. Rosario Lopez. In 1974, under Mr. Juanito Dela Cruz, additional classrooms were made. From 1978-1981, Mrs. Norma Mendoza took over as principal of the school, followed by Ms. Irma Marquez in 1983. Mr. Juanito Dela Cruz was reassigned as principal in 1983-1985. During his time, the school was transferred to its present location now in Biglang-Awa corner 11th Avenue, Caloocan City. After his retirement in 1985, Mr. Inocentes Noble tool the help followed by Mrs. Norma Avelino, who served as principal from 1987-1992. Through the concerted effort of the PTA and other stakeholders, under the leadership of Mrs. Corazon Gonzales, years 1992-1995, a three-storey building with nine (9) classrooms was constructed. The building was finished and inaugurated under the principalship of Mr. Ceazar Pangilinan who retired in 1998. The school was turned over to Mrs. Lilia Cruz as principal from 1998-2001. She was followed by Mrs. Lina Ramos who served as principal for three years until her retirement in December, 2004. Mrs. Carmenia Abel was assigned to ERES for barely a month, from December, 2004 to January, 2005. After which, Mrs. Jocelyn Navarro took over as principal for five years, from 2005-2009. After that, Mrs. Gloria Espiritu took over for two years until her retirement in November, 2011, followed by Ms. Leonora Dalluay until April 4, 2014. Then, Dr. Aida Polo served as Teacher-In-Charge from Aprin 5, 2014 to April 17, 2015. Followed by Dr. Romeo Egot who brought recognition to the school through his expertise in the field of journalism. Due to the station mobilization of almost all the principals in the division, Mrs. Domitilla Gutierrez came in last May 22, 2018, the principal of the school at present. 

 

Because of the insight and wisdom of the older teachers coupled with the influx of the new and dynamic teachers, there have been a continues and growing number of enrollees in ERES. To date, ERES has 45 teachers with permanent status.
